Jayveer Roadlines

Jayveer Roadlines is based at Shop Number 17 in Rishi Corner, over in Ward 12/a of Gandhidham. Like many businesses in Kutch, we are tied to the roads and the movement of goods. Our office is a modest spot where we keep track of our fleet and the various jobs we have going on. It’s usually a bit dusty because of all the construction and trucks moving nearby. We handle road transport, which means we are constantly talking to people about schedules and routes. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of waiting for trucks to arrive and making sure the loading is done correctly. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just a few of us making sure the wheels keep turning. We’ve been in Gandhidham for several years and have seen the area grow quite a bit. Our customers are mostly local businesses that need to get their products to other cities. We don't use a lot of high-tech tracking; we mostly rely on knowing our drivers and checking in with them regularly. It’s a business built on trust and showing up every day. Sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a closed road, and we just deal with it. We don't have a marketing department to polish our image. We just are who we are—a local transport outfit trying to do a decent job for our clients. The Rishi Corner area has a lot of energy, especially in the evenings when the drivers come back to settle their accounts. We usually have a lot of paperwork to go through at the end of the day, but we don't mind. It’s part of the trade. We’ve built a good relationship with the local mechanics too, because you never know when a truck will need a quick fix. We don't spend money on expensive office furniture. Our chairs are a bit old, but they’re comfortable enough for the long hours we put in. Gandhidham is our home, and we know the shortcuts and the best places to stop for fuel. We don't try to compete with the national logistics giants. We just focus on our slice of the market and making sure our regulars are taken care of. It’s a modest way to live, but it’s been working for us for a long time. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
