Bamandei Producer Company Limited

We set up Bamandei Producer Company Limited in Kumbharguda, which is part of Kundra in the Koraput district. Our small office is at House No.3 in Ward No. 10. Most people here in Jaipur and the surrounding areas spend their lives working the land. We wanted to have a company that belonged to the producers themselves. It’s a way for us to pool our resources and make sure we aren't getting a bad deal at the market. Farming is unpredictable. One year the crops are great, and the next year the rain doesn't come. We try to support each other through those ups and downs. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place where we meet and keep our files. People in Kundra know where to find us if they have a question about their produce. We spend a lot of time talking to the local growers about what they need most. Sometimes it is just a bit of help with transport. We don't have a lot of money for big advertisements, so we just rely on word of mouth. It's a local thing, run by people who actually live here and understand the dirt and the weather. We do our best to keep things running smoothly for everyone involved. It's just honest work in a small corner of Orissa. There is always someone coming by with a new problem to solve or a bit of news about the crop prices in other towns.
