Kathal Agro

Our place, Kathal Agro, is located on New Mandi Road in Narsinghpur. We are right near the Central Bank building, which is what we tell everyone when they are trying to find us. Since we are so close to the Mandi, there is always a lot of stuff going on with tractors and farmers coming in to drop off their produce. It’s a very busy atmosphere, especially when it’s harvest time. The dust and the smell of the grain are just part of the job. Our office isn’t much to look at, just a practical space where we sit to handle the buying and the books. We also have a small warehouse area attached for storage. Narsinghpur is a big farming district, so we are right in the thick of it. We know most of the people who walk through our door by their first names. It’s that kind of small town. We don’t have any marketing people or fancy brochures; news just travels by word of mouth from one farmer to another. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the bench and talk until it comes back on. It’s a slow but steady way of life. We focus on the quality of the seeds and the crops we handle. The bank building next door is a good landmark that everyone knows. We’ve been part of this community for many years and don’t see any reason to change.
