Shree Ram Bricks

Shree Ram Bricks is located in Modiwala village. We are right on the Main Road, very close to the Satya Narayan Temple. If you are driving through Tehsil Fazilka, you will probably see our sign. We’ve been making bricks here for years. It’s a family business and we all chip in. The work is hard on the back and the hands, but we are used to it by now. We spend our days out in the fields near the temple. The soil here is good for making bricks. We don't have any fancy brochures or salesmen. People just stop their tractors or trucks on the Main Road and ask what we have available. We keep the bricks in big stacks. Sometimes the kids play around the piles, but we tell them to be careful. It’s a quiet life in Modiwala for the most part. We follow the seasons. When it’s too wet, we do maintenance. When it’s dry, we work from dawn to dusk. We don't have a big office, just a small room with a table and some chairs. We like being near the temple; it makes the place feel peaceful even when we are very busy. We just keep doing what we know. Bricks are what we know best. It’s a honest living for us here in Fazilka every single day.
