Saroj Bricks

Our yard is located in Moana 2, right near Jotawali in the Fazilka area. It's a local spot where we spend most of our daylight hours. Being in the Ferozepur district, we deal with a lot of local builders and farmers who are putting up new sheds or houses. It’s a straightforward job. We get the raw materials, we make the bricks, and we wait for them to be ready. There isn't much more to it than that. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, and on windy days it can be a bit of a mess. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We mostly sit outside or in a small shed to do the books. People around Fazilka know us as a place where they can get a fair deal without any big talk. We aren't interested in being some massive company. We just want to keep the local projects going. You might see us drinking tea by the road when the trucks are loading up. It’s a friendly enough place. We’ve seen the kids in the village grow up while we've been working this land. It feels good to see the houses in the area and know some of our bricks are in those walls. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day. It's not always easy, but it's what we do.
