Guru Kirpa Building Material Samana

Running a building material business here on Samana Bhawanigarh Road is a lot of work. We are in the Patiala district, situated near Guraya Kata. It is mostly an outdoor kind of job. We have piles of sand and bricks sitting out in the yard, and when the wind blows, the dust goes everywhere. Most of our days are spent coordinating with truck drivers or people bringing their tractors to load up for small home repairs or bigger construction projects. The sun can be really strong out here on the road, so we spend a lot of time in the small office shed we built. It’s not much, just a desk and a few chairs for when people come to settle their accounts. We’ve got a big gate that squeaks every time a truck pulls in. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the way from Patiala, and we just have to wait around for hours. There is no real schedule, just whenever the materials arrive and whenever the customers show up. We keep a dog named Tiger who hangs around the yard and barks at the birds. It’s a simple life focused on heavy lifting and keeping track of loads. The ground is always uneven and muddy after it rains, making it tough for the vehicles to move. We just keep going, day after day, helping folks get their building supplies for their houses and walls.
