Joshi Marbles

Joshi Marbles is located on Bighar Road. We’re quite close to the S.B.P. D.A.V. Centenary Public School and Bhodia Khera Road. During the morning and afternoon, you can hear the school bells and the kids nearby. The shop acts as a landmark for people in this part of town. We have a variety of stones piled up out front and inside the shed. It’s a family-run spot, so you’ll usually see one of us sitting at the desk or helping someone load a vehicle. We don’t go for big displays. We just show the slabs as they are, with all their natural marks. People come to us when they are building their houses in the new colonies around here. We spend a lot of time measuring and giving people rough estimates on what they’ll need. It’s a lot of math on scraps of paper. Sometimes we have to move things around to get to a specific piece of marble at the back, which takes some time. We don't mind though. The neighborhood is friendly, and we know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s just a regular local business. We stay open until late evening and then lock up the gates. It’s been our routine for a long time.
