Our office is right in the Anaj Mandi in Ratia, specifically in Ward Number 10. If you’ve ever been to a grain market, you know how loud and busy it gets. Hameet Agro & Food Processing Producercompany Limited is right in the thick of it. There are trucks and tractors moving around all day long, especially during the harvest season. The noise is constant, and the air is always full of grain dust. Our building is number 203, and it’s a pretty basic place. We have some scales and a lot of bags piled up in the corner. We spend most of our time talking to the farmers and checking the quality of the produce that comes in. It’s hard work and your clothes always end up dirty by the end of the shift. We drink tea from the stall next door and try to stay on top of the prices. Sometimes the market gets so crowded that you can barely walk through the gate. We have a small desk where we keep all the records, but it's usually covered in samples. It’s not a place for someone who likes peace and quiet. We’ve been in this ward for a while now and we know most of the other traders around here. It’s just how life is in the mandi. We work hard and hope for good weather so the crops stay healthy. It is a simple life but it keeps us very busy.
