Aatma Ram Enterprises

Our business, Aatma Ram Enterprises, is right on the main road in the village of Bhsthan. We are very close to the local bus stand, so it is a natural place for people to stop by. The shop is a simple room with a big metal shutter that we roll up every morning at eight. It isn't a corporate office by any means. We have some shelves with various supplies and a wooden table where we sit and talk to anyone who comes in. The village life is slow and we like it that way. Most of our day is spent chatting with neighbors or helping people find what they need for their homes or farms. We don't have a mission statement or any fancy goals for the future. We just want to keep the shop running and be useful to the people in Bhsthan. When the weather is nice, we move our chairs out to the front and watch the buses go by. It can get quite dusty when the wind blows across the road, but that is just part of living here. We don't have a computer system, so everything is written down in a notebook. It’s a very honest and straightforward way to live and work.
