Yantram Sansandhnam India Incorporated is located at Plot No 65 in the Industrial Area of Faridabad N I T. Being in the industrial area means it is quite a rugged place. There is always the sound of hammers or machines running from the neighboring plots. Our own space is a large shed-like structure where we do all our manufacturing and assembly. The floors are concrete and there is plenty of dust, but that is how it is in this part of Faridabad. We have a small corner partitioned off with some plywood for the office work. It has an old desk and a couple of chairs where we keep the registers. We don't have any air conditioning in the main workshop, just large exhaust fans that pull the air through. The team here is used to the hard work. We spend all day on our feet, moving metal and checking the machines. There are no fancy uniforms or corporate meetings. We just gather around the main bench in the morning to talk about what needs to be finished. The industrial area can be a bit chaotic with trucks coming and going, especially near Plot No 65. We have been here long enough that we know all the local tea vendors and the other workshop owners. It is a tough environment but it is where we belong. We focus on the quality of the things we make rather than how the office looks. It is just basic, honest industrial work.
