You can find Vikash General Store at 22 Feet Road in the Sgm Nagar area of Faridabad. We’re situated quite close to Harish Market, which means there’s never a dull moment around here. The street is always full of activity, and our shop is right in the thick of it. We handle a bit of everything, from basic kitchen ingredients like salt and spices to small things like batteries or soaps. It’s a small shop, but we try to make every inch of shelf space count. I usually start the day by checking the milk delivery and making sure the bread is fresh. The floors are simple and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it’s a functional space that serves the people of NIT well. Sometimes the noise from the market gets a bit loud, especially on weekends when everyone is out doing their chores. I spend a lot of my time chatting with the neighbors who stop by for a single item and stay for a few minutes to talk about the weather or the local news. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; I just keep track of things in a notebook and make sure the shelves stay full. It’s a straightforward business and I like it that way.
