Vardhman Singar Sadan

Vardhman Singar Sadan is my little shop in Jain Gali, Ward No-7, over in Ballabhgarh. We are near the Badari area, and the lane here is quite narrow. It’s a busy spot especially during the wedding season or festivals because I sell things like bangles, hair clips, and other items women need to look their best. The shop is very colorful with all the different ribbons and accessories hanging from the ceiling. I have to use a long stick to reach some of the items for my customers. Faridabad can be very dusty, so I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases where I keep the more delicate things. It’s not a huge shop, but I’ve managed to fit a lot of variety into the space. I've been in this spot for years and I know most of the families around here. When the girls come in for bangles, they usually take a long time to decide, so I just sit and wait patiently. It’s nice to see them happy when they find the right match for their clothes. The lighting inside isn't the brightest, but we make do with what we have. Sometimes I get new stock from the bigger markets and it’s always a job to find a place to put it all. It’s a small, local business that keeps me connected to the people in my ward.
