Gallery Art Waves

Gallery Art Waves is over in Shakarpur at School Block S-67. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the noisy shops around this part of town. Inside, we have different paintings and art pieces hanging up. A lot of our day is spent just making sure the frames are straight and the glass is clean. The lighting needs to be right so people can actually see the colors properly. It’s a small place, so it doesn't take long to walk through. We get people who wander in because they were just passing by the school block and felt curious. Sometimes local artists stop in to show us something new they are working on. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a desk and a small back room for storing things that aren't on the walls yet. The neighborhood is usually quite loud, but once you come inside, things settle down a bit. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way. We keep track of what comes in and what goes out and talk to anyone who has questions about the art. It’s not a stressful place to work. We mostly just enjoy the quiet and the way the sun looks on the pieces in the afternoon. It’s just a small gallery doing its thing in Shakarpur. We open up every morning and wait to see who stops by.
