Target Fabrics

Target Fabrics is located at B-101 in the basement over in Green Field. Working out of a basement is a bit different. You don't get much natural light, so we have plenty of bright lamps to see what we are doing with the fabrics. It stays a bit cooler down here though, which is nice when the weather gets really hot outside. Green Field is a good neighborhood, and we have been here for a while. Our space is packed tight with rolls of different fabrics. Sometimes it feels like you're walking through a forest of cloth. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and checking the quality of everything that comes in. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get dry from the fabric and your eyes get tired from the light, but we enjoy it. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's just a few of us. We talk to our customers like they are neighbors because most of them are. We don't use any of those big words or sales pitches. If a fabric is good, we say so. If it’s not right for the job, we tell them that too. It’s just about being honest and doing a decent day's work. The basement at B-101 has become like a second home to us. We know where every single scrap of material is hidden. It’s our little corner of Green Field and we're okay with that.
