Khushi Art Gallery Photo Framer

Down here at Mandawali Shop No B 7, things stay pretty busy with all the framing work we do. At Khushi Art Gallery Photo Framer, we spend a lot of time surrounded by bits of wood, glass, and different types of mounts. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders piled up. We don't really have a fancy showroom. Most of the space is taken up by the big cutting table and the tools we use every day. People bring in all sorts of stuff to get framed, from old family photos to new posters they bought online. Sometimes the glass breaks while we’re cutting it, and we have to start over. That’s just part of the job. Mandawali is a tight-knit kind of place, and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while now. There’s always dust from the saws, no matter how much we sweep. We don't put on any airs about being a high-end gallery. We just want to make sure the frames are straight and the corners meet up right. It takes a bit of patience to get everything lined up perfectly. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s honest work, and we like seeing the look on someone’s face when they see their picture all finished and ready to hang up.
