If you go down to Moti Colony, Phase 1, you’ll find Sushil Sharma Builders & Hardware right at Shop No. 1. It’s the first shop in the row, so it’s easy to spot. We’ve got all the usual stuff you’d expect—nails, hammers, pipes, and some bigger construction bits too. The shop isn’t very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack things so people can actually walk through. It’s usually just a couple of us here, helping whoever walks in. Sometimes it’s a neighbor needing a single screw, and other times it’s a contractor looking for enough material to start a whole room. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just talk to people face to face. The floor is concrete and stays cold in the winter, which is nice in the summer but not so great in January. We’ve got a little stool behind the counter where we sit when things are slow, but that doesn't happen often. There’s always something that needs rearranging or a delivery that needs to be unpacked. We do our own heavy lifting, so our backs usually ache by Friday. It’s a straightforward business. We don't use big words or try to act like we’re more than we are. We’re just a hardware shop in the colony. We close up when the sun sets and head home like everyone else.
