Surya Ortho & Truma Centre

We are located at 5r/5 in the NIT area. Surya Ortho & Truma Centre is basically where we spend the majority of our waking hours. We see a lot of people coming in with bandages, slings, and heavy plaster casts. Since it is an ortho place, there is always a lot of talk about bones, joints, and how long it takes for things to heal. The waiting area is usually full of people leaning on crutches or trying to find a comfortable way to sit. We try to make them as comfortable as we can while they wait. The building is one of the older ones on the block. We have some heavy equipment for taking X-rays and other scans. It makes a very loud humming noise when we turn it on. We have all gotten used to it by now. The staff is just a small group of us. We try to eat our lunch together in the back, but usually, it is just a quick bite between seeing patients. The neighborhood stays busy all day. You can hear the sounds from the market just a few streets over. Sometimes the smell of fried food comes in when the front door stays open too long. We have many rows of paper files to keep track of. We prefer the paper folders because they are easier to grab. It is a very practical place. We don’t spend much on signs or bright lights.
