Star Rubber Industries

Star Rubber Industries is located at Plot No. 1225 in Sanjay Enclave, right by Chacha Chowck on Gali No. 6 in the NIT area. It is a busy industrial patch and the street is always full of activity. Our building is a bit older and has seen a lot of use over the years. Inside, we have the presses and the molds for making various rubber parts. The smell of heating rubber is very strong, especially when the machines have been running all day long. It gets quite hot in the workspace, so we have a few big pedestal fans blowing all the time to keep the air moving. We mostly deal with other businesses who need parts for their machines. The walls are stained from the smoke and the grease, and the floor is cracked in a few places, but it doesn't bother us. We have a small area near the entrance where we keep the finished stock in bags and boxes. Gali No. 6 is narrow, so when a truck comes for a pickup, everything else has to stop for a bit. We know most of the guys in the neighboring plots, and we often share a smoke or a tea during the lunch break. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time. Every day is about managing the machines and making sure the counts are correct. We just keep our heads down and get the production finished.
