Sonu Provisional Store

Sonu Provisional Store is located in the Main Market 3 section of Sarai Khwaja. We are a typical neighborhood shop where we sell all the small things people realize they forgot to buy earlier in the day. Our shelves are filled with jars of candy, packets of noodles, and various cleaning supplies. The store isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of wall space to hang up things like snack bags and sachets of shampoo. It gets very crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and wants to pick up milk or bread for the next morning. We have a small wooden counter where we keep the ledger and the cash box. Most of our customers live just a few streets away in Sarai Khwaja, so we see the same people day after day. It is a lot of work keeping everything stocked up, and we are often carrying heavy crates of cold drinks inside during the summer months. The shop stays open late because that is when the market is the most alive. We don't have any fancy marketing or big signs. It’s just a simple place where the lights stay on until the last customer leaves. Sometimes the kids come in with just a few coins for some sweets, and we have to help them pick out what they can afford. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy life in the market, but we are just used to the routine of it all now.
