Gupta Building Material

If you are doing any construction work around Sector 86, you might have seen our trucks. Gupta Building Material is just a local yard where we keep all the basics like sand, cement, and bricks. It’s not a complicated operation. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading and a small desk where we keep the receipts. The yard is usually a bit chaotic with piles of gravel and stacks of bags everywhere. We try to keep things organized but when three trucks show up at once, it gets a bit messy. I’ve lived in this area my whole life and started this business because I saw how much building was going on. We serve a lot of the local contractors and people doing their own home repairs. We don't really have a sales pitch. If you need 50 bags of cement, we tell you the price and when we can get it to your site. Most days are spent on the phone coordinating deliveries and making sure we don't run out of stock. The weather plays a big part in our day. When it rains, everything slows down and we have to cover the cement so it doesn't ruin. It’s hard work, and the phone starts ringing pretty early in the morning. We just try to be helpful and get the materials where they need to go on time for the builders.
