Krishna Jee Collections

Our little spot, Krishna Jee Collections, is located over in Sector 46. It is a pretty quiet residential area compared to the main city markets, which we actually prefer most of the time. The shop is tucked into a corner where the neighbors all know each other by name. We usually start our day by sweeping out the front and checking what new stock arrived the evening before. There is always a lot of unfolding and folding to do, which takes up most of our morning hours. The shelves are getting a bit crowded lately because we keep finding new things to add to the piles. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and listen to the radio when things are slow. In the evenings, the local ladies usually come by after they finish their household chores to see what is new. We don't have any big neon signs or anything like that, just the name on the front window. Sometimes the light in the back flickers a bit, but we’ve learned how to tap it just right to make it stay on. It feels more like a living room than a store sometimes because people stay to chat for so long. We just keep things simple here and try to make sure everyone who walks in feels like they are just visiting a neighbor. It is a small business, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
