Maples Midnight

Maples Midnight is located over in Sector 15, right near the Community Centre. It’s a decent spot because there is always something happening at the centre—weddings, meetings, or just kids playing. We get a lot of people just wandering in after an event is over. The shop is a bit of a mix. We have the usual flower buckets, but because of the name, people sometimes expect us to be open late, and often we are. We spend a lot of time just cleaning up the place. Flowers are messy things; they drop leaves and pollen everywhere. We have a few old tables where we do the work. It’s not very high-end. We just use what we have. Sometimes the scissors go missing or we run out of a certain color of ribbon, and we have to scramble. That’s just how it goes when you’re running a small local place. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, take the deliveries, and try to keep the flowers alive in the heat. Sector 15 is a busy neighborhood, and being near the community centre means we see a lot of the local families. We know who likes what and who is just stopping by because they forgot something. It’s a lot of small talk and wet hands. We just keep the shop open and do the work as it comes.
