Samaanwala

Samaanwala is a general store in Faridabad. We are at Shop No.21 in the Huda Market in Sector 31. The name of the shop literally means the person who has the stuff, which is exactly how we see ourselves. We keep a variety of items that people use in their homes every day. You can find snacks, biscuits, cleaning liquids, and all sorts of pantry staples here. The market is a very active place, especially on the weekends. Our shop is not very large, so we have to be clever about how we stack the boxes. Sometimes you might see some crates sitting out front because there isn't enough room inside. We handle the sales ourselves. We know many of our customers by their first names. It is a local environment where people stop by to get a few things and maybe talk about the local news for a minute. We don't do any fancy advertising or have big neon signs. The shop is just a practical place for the people of Sector 31. We try to keep the prices fair and the stock fresh. It is a lot of lifting and moving things around, but that is just how the job is. We have been here in Huda Market for quite some time. We open up the shutters every morning and just get to work.
