Roz Aana Departmental Store

Roz Aana Departmental Store is right there in the Sec 16 Huda Market. We are quite close to Sagar Cinema, so there’s always a crowd around, especially on the weekends. The store name pretty much says it all – we are here for the things you need every day. We’ve got aisles for snacks, toiletries, and all the kitchen basics like ghee and masalas. It takes a lot of effort to keep the inventory sorted. I spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers trying to get things delivered on time. Sometimes the bread doesn't show up until noon, and I have to explain that to the regulars who come in early. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the construction work that always seems to be happening nearby in Faridabad. We try our best to keep the glass jars clean and the floors swept. My wife helps me with the accounts in the evenings. It’s a small operation, really. We don’t have those fancy uniforms or anything. I just wear my regular clothes and talk to whoever comes in. Some days are slow, and I just sit on the stool near the door watching the traffic outside. Other days, it’s so busy I don't even have time to eat lunch until four in the afternoon. That's just how running a departmental store goes. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in and say hello.
