Rb Convent School

Down in Nangla Part 2, right near Ghazipur in Faridabad, you'll find our school. It’s a busy area in the NIT part of town. The streets are usually crowded with rickshaws and people going to work. We open the doors pretty early when the air is still a bit fresh. Rb Convent School has been part of this neighborhood for a good stretch of time. We see the same parents every morning dropping off their kids before heading to the markets. The building is simple and we try to keep the paint looking decent. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of desks moving and kids reciting things. It gets loud when the bell rings for recess. We don’t really go in for anything over the top. It’s a place for local kids to get their schooling done without having to travel too far into the main city. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we are always sweeping the floors. The teachers live nearby, so they know the families well. It’s like a big family in some ways, though we have our rough days like anywhere else. We just stick to the schedule and make sure everyone gets home safe when the afternoon sun is high. It’s a plain, honest school for the people living around Nangla and Ghazipur. There is always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a broken chair, but we manage it.
