Rashan Basket

Rashan Basket is located at Shop No. 1 on Sabjimandi Road in the Old Faridabad area. We are right in the middle of the Main Market in Sector 18A. It is a very crowded part of town, especially in the mornings when the vegetable sellers are active. Our shop is not very large, but we try to fit a lot into the space we have. There are stacks of rice bags near the back and rows of cooking oil tins along the side wall. We have been here for a while and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to it. Most of our customers are people who live in the nearby blocks and they just come in for their weekly groceries. We keep things like soap, detergent, pulses, and snacks for the kids. The street outside is always full of cycles and people walking, so it can get pretty loud during the day. Sometimes we run out of a certain brand of biscuit and have to wait for the delivery guy to fight through the traffic. It is a practical kind of business. We do not use any big computer systems, just a notebook and a calculator for most things. The shop stays cool enough in the shade, and we usually have a stool out front for someone to sit on while they wait for their change.
