Our small office is over at number 20 in the 3G Park Market in N.I.T. It’s right in the thick of the market, so we get to hear everything that’s going on with the other shops around us. The space is a bit tight with all the equipment and spare parts we have lying around, but it’s home for us. We’ve got a couple of old workbenches that have seen a lot of use over the years. Engineering is a messy business sometimes, and our floor usually shows it by the end of the day. Most of the people working here have been friends for a long time, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed even when we have a deadline looming. We don't go in for fancy decorations; we just have what we need to get the job done. The market outside is always full of people, and sometimes it’s hard to even hear yourself think when the lunch rush starts. We usually keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in some of the street noise. There’s a kettle in the corner that’s almost always on because we drink a lot of tea while we look over the technical specs. It’s a practical place for practical work, and we like being right here where the action is in N.I.T. It’s not a shiny corporate tower, but it works for what we do every day.
