Pawan Singhal Provisional Store

People around here just call this the old shop since we’ve been on Kc Badkhal Road for a long time now. It is right near Sharma Chowk, so you really can't miss it if you are walking through Nit in Faridabad. I started this place a while back and mostly keep the usual things people need for their kitchens like dals, rice, and those little packets of spices. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work and they remember they forgot to buy milk or sugar. I try to keep everything on the shelves easy to find, but sometimes it gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in. My family helps out too, especially during the festivals when the demand for sweets and snacks goes up. We know most of the faces that walk in through the door because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s not a very big space, just a regular store where you can get your daily stuff without much fuss. We open up early in the morning, around the time the newspaper guy comes around, and stay open until quite late. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the old torch, but that’s just how things go around here. If you need something specific and I don't have it, I usually tell people to come back in two days. It is just a simple way of living and working in Faridabad.
