Guru Nanak Tools

Our shop is tucked away in Parvatiya Colony at Plot No 696/5 Part 1. It is very close to the Kumau Mandir, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day while we are working with the metal. Guru Nanak Tools is mostly just a place filled with the smell of grease and the sound of machines grinding away at steel. We have a lot of different bits and pieces scattered around on the workbenches. It might look a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time, but we know exactly where every wrench and cutter is kept. The area around Kumau Mandir gets pretty crowded during festivals, which makes it hard to move bigger items in and out of the colony. We spend our time sharpening things or making sure the dimensions are correct for whatever tool someone brought in to be fixed. The walls are stained with a bit of oil, and the floor is concrete, which gets cold in the winter months. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that move the heavy air around. Most of the people who come here are regulars from the nearby streets who need something specific made. It is simple work, but it requires a lot of patience to get the edges right. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the work at hand until the sun goes down.
