New Jagdamba General Store

Running New Jagdamba General Store on Air Force Road keeps us pretty busy most days. We are at E-286 in Dabua Colony, which is a lively part of Faridabad. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a neighborhood store with all sorts of things crammed onto the shelves. We’ve got soap, shampoo, biscuits, and those little packets of spices that everyone needs. Sometimes the delivery guys come all at once and the front of the shop gets blocked with crates of cold drinks. I have to hurry and move them so people can actually get inside. The ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it’s a lifesaver when the summer heat hits Nit. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s nice to ask how their kids are doing or if their parents are feeling better. The shop can get a bit dusty because of all the traffic on the road outside, so I try to wipe down the jars whenever I get a quiet moment. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure things stay stocked. If we don't have what you want, I usually tell you which other shop might have it. It’s just a simple way of doing business in Faridabad. We’ve been at this E-286 address for years and it feels like home to us now.
