Mishra Ji General Store

Being in Om Enclave Part 2 here in Faridabad is mostly quiet, which is nice for a store like mine. Most people around here just know me as Mishra Ji, and they stop by when they are out for a walk or heading to the main road. I keep the basic stuff, you know, soap, shampoo, biscuits, and the usual groceries that families need every day. My store isn’t anything fancy with bright lights or big signs, just a counter and some wooden shelves that I’ve had for years. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood come in for a single piece of candy or a small packet of chips, and they take forever to choose. It’s okay though, I don't mind the company. I try to keep the stock fresh, but since it is a small place, I can't keep everything at once. I live close by so if someone really needs something urgent after I’ve closed, they sometimes just knock on the door and I’ll open up for a minute. That’s the thing about being in a place like Om Enclave, everyone knows everyone. It’s been a few years now and the routine is the same every day, from cleaning the front step to checking the milk crates in the morning. I don't have a computer or anything, I just write things down in a notebook when people buy on credit. It works out fine for us and it keeps me busy during the day.
