Living in Faridabad City, you know how the power goes. That's why we have the shop on Railway Road. We deal mostly with inverters and those heavy batteries. It’s a heavy job, moving those things around. My back usually hurts by the end of the week. We’ve been at this location near Palwal for a good while. The shop is full of black battery cases and wires. It smells a bit like lead and plastic in here. We don't have much of a showroom. It’s mostly just stock piled up. People come in when their power backup fails, usually when it’s hot outside. We try to help them out. We carry a few different brands of inverters. Some are better than others, and we tell people that. No point in selling something that will break in a month. We do some repairs too, but mostly it's selling and installing. Railway Road is always busy with trains and traffic. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking near us. But we've been here so long that people know where to squeeze their bikes in. It’s a family business. My son helps with the heavy lifting now. We just keep going, day by day. When the monsoon hits, we get very busy because the lines go down. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next person to walk through the door with a dead battery.
