Ligram General Store

Ligram General Store is tucked away in Sector 18 of Faridabad, specifically at house number 28 in Ward 11. It is just a normal shop that serves the families living nearby. We open up early most mornings because someone always needs something before they head out for the day. The shelves are mostly packed with the basic things people use in their kitchens or bathrooms. It gets a bit crowded inside when more than three people show up at once, but we manage. Faridabad is a busy city, but our little corner feels a bit more grounded. I spend a lot of time checking the stock and writing down what we need to get from the wholesale market next. Some days are slow and I just clean the glass jars or reorganize the snacks. It’s not like those big supermarkets you see in the malls; it’s more personal here. People come in to chat for a minute while they wait for their change. We've seen kids grow up in this neighborhood, starting from buying small candies to now coming in for household supplies for their own homes. The fan inside the shop hums all day long, and we just keep things moving along. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road outside, but we try to keep it decent for whoever walks through the door. It is just how it goes here, keeping the place going day after day for the people on our street.
