Lala General Store

Lala General Store is tucked away in Village Fatehpur Chandila. We are right opposite Sector 21 B in the NIT area of Faridabad. I started this place because there wasn't much nearby for the folks living in the village back then. It's been many years now and the area has changed a lot, but the shop stays pretty much the same. We carry lentils, soaps, snacks, and whatever else people ask for. The building isn't brand new, and sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it stays cool enough in the summer. My neighbors are the ones who come in most often. It is nice seeing the same faces every day. Dealing with the 121001 pin code crowd means we see people from the sector too. They usually want something quick on their way home. I keep things on the shelves where I can reach them easily. It's a one-man show mostly, though my nephew sits here if I need a break. We don't do any big advertising or anything. Word of mouth is how people know us. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road for a bit while we unload. It can be a bit chaotic during the festive seasons when everyone wants sweets or decorations at the same time. We just do our work and go home. That is the way Lala General Store has always run. Nothing too complicated about it.
