In the heart of Faridabad City, over in Chawla Colony at Ballabgarh 454, you will find Kirshan Chand Gupta. We’ve been operating out of this spot for as long as anyone can remember. Chawla Colony is a lively place, and being at 454 puts us right in the thick of it. Our shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside. It’s got a heavy shutter and a simple counter where we meet our customers. We deal with people face-to-face every day. There’s no corporate ladder here, just us and the people who walk in. Most of our customers are regulars who live just a few streets away. We know their names and what they usually need. It’s a very manual way of doing things, but it works for us. We write things down in big ledgers and keep our own records. Ballabgarh has grown a lot, but our little corner has stayed pretty much the same. We don’t use any fancy sales tactics. If we have what you need, we’ll tell you, and if we don't, we’ll tell you that too. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit, which is one of the best parts of being in a place like this. We usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background while we work. It keeps the mood light even on long days.
