Kedar Nath General Store

You can find Kedar Nath General Store on Talab Road in Old Faridabad. We are at Shop No.-3, not far from the MCF office. This part of Faridabad is quite old and the streets are always full of people and rickshaws. The shop itself is small and it has that old-fashioned feel to it. I have been sitting at this counter for years now. I know most of the people who live in the lanes around here. We keep all the usual stuff like flour, sugar, and stationery for the school kids. The walls are lined with jars full of candies and small items. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout to hear each other. It gets very dusty here, so I am always wiping down the counter. I don't have a big staff, just me and occasionally a boy to help carry the heavy sacks of sugar. My books are a bit messy, but I know where everything is. People come here not just to buy things but also to talk about what is happening in the neighborhood. It is a busy life, and I don't get much time to sit down. By the time I close the shutters at night, I am quite tired. But it’s my own business and I take pride in keeping it going. It is just a simple general store in the heart of Old Faridabad.
