We have been in the Main Market of Faridabad Sector 15 for quite a while now. If you know where the Apollo Pharmacy is, we are just a few steps away from there. The market is always loud and crowded, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. Inside the shop, it’s a bit more relaxed. We have watches all over the walls, some ticking and some silent. Mostly, people come to us when their favorite watch stops working. I spend a lot of time looking through a lens at tiny springs and wheels. It’s fiddly work, and my eyes get tired by the end of the day. We also sell some clocks for the wall and different kinds of metal straps. The counter is old and has scratches from years of use, but it does the job. I remember when this whole area looked different, but the shop has stayed pretty much the same. We don’t do anything fancy here. If a watch needs a new glass or the timing is off, we just fix it. It is a simple life running a small business like this. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use flashlights to see the parts. We just keep going until the work is finished and the customer is happy to have their watch back for another few years.
