Jayant Agencies

Jayant Agencies is on the first floor of Plot No-H-18-A in the NIT area. To get to us, you have to walk up a narrow set of concrete stairs that are a bit steep. The office is one of those old-fashioned places with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. Jayant started this place years ago and not much has changed since then. We have rows of steel cupboards filled with product catalogs and invoices. The light inside is a bit dim because the windows are small, but we have some bright tube lights that we keep on all day. It is a quiet operation mostly. We spend our time taking orders over the phone and writing things down in big register books. We still use a lot of paper here instead of doing everything on the screen. The NIT neighborhood is an old industrial and commercial hub, so there is always a sense of history around the block. We know the people in the neighboring offices and often share a pot of tea in the afternoon. It is not a place where you will find modern art or sleek furniture. We have the same desks we started with and they work just fine for us. Sometimes the mail is late because the delivery person gets confused by the plot numbers, but we eventually get everything sorted out. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily trade without any fuss or bother.
