Jai Baba Consumer Store

Our shop sits on Link Road in Old Faridabad, right near the Sec.28-29 Chowk. If you know the area, you probably know Miglani Baker which is just a short walk away from us. The smell of their fresh bread sometimes drifts over here when the wind is right. The chowk is a very busy place and there is always a lot of dust and noise from the traffic. We spend a lot of time dusting off the jars and packets because of all the cars passing by. The shop is full of everyday items that families need for their kitchens and bathrooms. We have stacks of washing powder and different brands of cooking oil piled up near the entrance. It is an old building and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it stays cool enough in the shade. People come in to complain about the traffic at the intersection while they buy their groceries. We have been here long enough that we know which neighbor likes which brand of tea. There is no big sign outside, just the door open to the street. It is a simple way to make a living, selling things like salt and spices to people we see every single day. We stay open until fairly late most nights just in case someone forgot something for their dinner.
