J. L. Engineers

We’ve been at Plot No. 26 in Karkhana Bagh for quite a while now. J. L. Engineers is just a small setup right off 16/2, Mathura Road. Most days it’s just us working through whatever comes in. The area is pretty busy, but we like being here. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard to find the gate, but once you're inside, it’s quiet enough to get things done. We started out just doing basic engineering work and it sort of stayed that way. There’s no big office or fancy lobby here. Just the workshop and a few desks where we keep the papers. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that help. Most of the people who come by are regulars from around the neighborhood. They know where to find us. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the job at hand. It’s a straightforward place. We don’t really do much advertising because most people just hear about us through word of mouth. If you’re driving down Mathura Road, you might miss the turnoff if you aren’t looking closely. We’ve thought about putting up a bigger sign, but we haven’t gotten around to it yet. It’s just how we do things here at J. L. Engineers. We like the work and we like being part of the local scene in Karkhana Bagh. It’s not a complicated business, just a place where we show up and work.
