If you head down Airforce Road toward Sector 50, you'll see Goyal Building Material near the 60 Feet Road. We’ve been here in Dabua Colony for years. It's a crowded spot with a lot of traffic passing by. We keep all sorts of stuff here, from sand to cement bags and bricks. The yard is usually a mess of piles and equipment. It’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep up with the orders. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lane, and we have to spend an hour just getting them turned around. It’s annoying but part of the job. I spend a lot of time on my old desk checking the bills and counting what we have left in the back. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town, just a spot where someone can get what they need for a repair or a small home project. The sun beats down on the yard all afternoon, so we drink a lot of water to stay cool. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking, and other days everyone shows up at once. We don't have a website or any of that. If someone needs something, they usually just stop their bike and yell for one of us. We help load up the carts or small trucks ourselves. It is just basic labor and trying to get through the day as best as we can. We've seen a lot of changes in the colony over the years.
