Our place, Fortis Escorts Hospital & Research, is on Neelam Bata Road Nit. It’s an older part of town with a lot of history. The building is a mix of the hospital wards and the research sections. You can tell which is which by how quiet the hallways are. In the research parts, it’s mostly just people at desks or in labs looking at papers and samples. In the main hospital, it’s the usual bustle of patients and nurses. The floors are made of that hard stone that’s easy to clean but can be a bit cold on the feet in the winter. We have a lot of equipment here that needs constant attention. The engineers are often seen around with their toolkits, making sure the backup generators and the cooling systems are working. Outside, Neelam Bata Road is always packed with people and shops, so the noise leaks in a bit through the front doors. We have a small parking area that fills up way too early in the day.
