People around here in Vill.Khambi know where we are, right near Hodal. It’s a plain brick building mostly, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it stays busy from morning till late afternoon. We’ve got the local kids coming in from all the nearby houses and fields in Palwal. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside when the wind picks up, so there is always someone sweeping the floors. The classrooms have the usual wooden desks that have seen better days, and there is plenty of writing on the walls that we try to keep clean. Most of the teachers live close by, so they just walk or bike in. It gets pretty loud during the lunch break when everyone is out in the yard, but that’s just how it is with so many students in one spot. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything, just the ceiling fans that hum all day during the summer months. In the winter, it’s a bit cold in the mornings, but once the sun comes out, it’s not too bad. We just keep things moving, making sure the registers are marked and the lessons get done. It’s a lot of work keeping the place running, especially when the electricity goes off, which happens more than we would like. We just deal with it and keep the doors open for whoever shows up for class.
