Bhardwaj General Store

Our shop is Shop Number 6 in Sector 29, right near the Faridabad Railway Station. Being so close to the station means we see a lot of people coming and going all the time. The shop is a typical general store. We sell everything from soap and toothpaste to snacks and cold drinks. It's a small space, so we have things hanging from the ceiling and stacked in every corner. During the day, it gets quite warm, especially with the sun hitting the front of the shop. We have a small fridge for the sodas and it’s always humming in the background. My nephew helps me out in the afternoons when it gets busy. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the regulars who live in the sector. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or anything like that. We have an old counter and some wooden shelves that have been here for years. The sound of the trains is something you just stop noticing after a few weeks. We get our new stock delivered every few days, and then we have to find space for it all, which is always a puzzle. We don't have any big plans to expand or anything. We just like being part of the local community and making sure people can get their daily essentials without having to go too far. It's simple, honest work.
