If you go to Sector 45 and look across from house number 2026, you’ll find us at shop number two. It’s a small place, nothing too big or flashy. We spend most of our time sitting at the desk waiting for the phone to ring or for someone to walk in with a question about a house nearby. We know this sector pretty well because we’ve been looking at these same streets for years. Usually, it’s about finding a tenant or helping someone who wants to sell their plot. We keep a lot of notes in old registers because it's easier than typing everything out. Sometimes the tea stall next door is where we end up talking to people more than in the actual office. It’s a quiet corner of the sector, except when the school buses go by. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who take turns being in the shop. We handle the keys and make sure the gates are locked at the empty properties. It’s a basic way of working, but it works for us. We see a lot of the same people every day. If someone needs to find a place, they usually just drop by and we see what’s on the list. We don't use any fancy systems, just honest talk and knowing who owns what around here.
