Alframes

Our shop is called Alframes and you can find us in Sector 10. We are right near the State Bank of India ATM, which makes it easy for people to explain where we are to their friends. It’s a simple setup. We spend most of the day surrounded by bits of wood and glass. People bring in all sorts of things they want to put on their walls. Sometimes it’s a photo of their kids, or maybe a diploma they worked hard for. We just get to work measuring things out and cutting the frames to the right size. It’s dusty work, and there are always wood shavings on the floor, no matter how much we sweep up. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. The neighborhood is busy, especially with people coming and going from the bank. We don’t do any big advertising. Usually, someone just walks in because they saw our sign while they were getting cash. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us handling everything. We have to be very careful with the glass so it doesn't crack or get finger marks all over it. Some days are busier than others, especially around the holidays when people want to give gifts. We just take it as it comes. It’s a good feeling to see a finished frame and know it’s going to hang in someone’s house for years. We aren't looking to expand, just keeping the shop running and doing the work.
