We are located right at the 20.4 km mark on the Delhi - Mathura Road, which is a pretty loud spot to be all day. The traffic never really stops coming through Sarai Khwaja, and the dust from the highway is just something we live with here. Being near the Chowk in Amar Nagar means there’s always people moving around and trucks trying to turn into our gate. Our yard is usually full of transit mixers and piles of raw materials that we have to move around constantly. It’s a busy operation, and it stays that way from early morning until long after the sun goes down. The office is just a small place with some old files and a water cooler that everyone uses. We don’t spend much time sitting down anyway because there’s always a truck to load or a batch to check. The heat off the pavement during the summer is really something, and we go through a lot of tea to keep going. We've been at this location for a good bit of time, so we know the local drivers and the guys from the other shops nearby. It’s not a glamorous job, but the work is steady and it keeps us out of trouble. We just focus on getting the concrete mixed and sent out to the sites. Some days are longer than others, but we just deal with the traffic and keep moving.
