Aadharshila Public School

Our school is tucked away in Tirka Colony, over here in Ballabhgarh. We’ve been at F-80 for a while now. Most mornings start with the sound of rickshaws dropping kids off at the gate. It gets pretty dusty out on the street, but once everyone is inside the classrooms, things settle down. We have some desks that have seen better days and the fans make a bit of noise in the summer heat, but they keep the air moving. Faridabad is a busy place, and being in a colony like this means we know most of the neighbors. Sometimes a ball goes over the wall and someone has to go knock on a door to get it back. The teachers drink tea in the small staff room during the break, mostly talking about the weather or how the kids are doing with their math. It isn’t a fancy building with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a regular place where children come to learn their lessons and run around during lunch. We try to keep the hallways clear, though bags and water bottles always seem to find their way onto the floor. The gatekeeper knows all the parents by face. It’s just how things work here in our little corner of Faridabad. We don't have a big stage, so assemblies happen right in the courtyard under the sun. It’s loud, a bit messy, but it’s our daily life.
