Shree Munshi Lal Inter College

Out here in Etawah, our college is located in the New Mandi area. We’re in Shastri Colony, which is quite close to Shivram Vatika. If you know the neighborhood, we are easy to find. The college has been a fixture in this part of Etawah for quite some time. It’s a simple brick building that sees a lot of action during the day. Students come in from the nearby colonies and the surrounding villages. We don't have any big marketing plans; word just travels from person to person around here. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and old fans that creak when they're turned on. We spend our time going through the lessons and making sure the students are prepared for their exams. The staff room is usually full of tea cups and stacks of notebooks waiting to be marked. Outside, the area around New Mandi is always busy with people going about their business. We get some dust from the road, but that’s just part of being in this location. It’s a practical place for kids to get their inter-college education. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. There are no big missions written on the walls, just the daily timetable. Most of us have lived in Etawah our whole lives, so we understand the people here. It’s just a plain, hardworking school in a normal part of town.
