The Blue Store

The Blue Store is located at No. 29 Kunnampalayam, which is right by Utttukuli Rs. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s a bit quieter than the main city spots. I spend most of my day sitting near the front of the shop. You can hear the trains every now and then since the station is so close. It’s a simple building at No. 29. We don't have any of those bright flashing lights or big digital displays. It’s just a local place where people stop by. Some days are slow and I just watch the people walking past towards the Utttukuli railway station. Other days, it’s a bit more hectic with people dropping in for this or that. The shelves are filled with whatever we need to have in stock. I usually spend the mornings tidying things up and making sure everything looks decent. It’s not a huge space, so it doesn't take long. Sometimes the dust gets in from the road, so there’s always cleaning to do. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, really. People in Kunnampalayam are friendly, so we chat a lot. We aren't part of some big chain. It’s just this one spot. I like the routine of it. You open up, stay for the day, and then lock up when the sun goes down. That is how the store has always been.
